My PAQ was accessed and filled out on a friends new (this year) MAC computer. There was absolutely no indication that anything was amiss but during the resume review portion of the interview only half the required fields were filled in, my name was hand written by someone else because it was one of the fields that did not make it, so we spent several uncomfortable moments filling out the rest of the information that did not come through. Just use a PC is my advice!

And actually, polarfr8dog, I had forgotten the retirements that are going to start soon...I was just referring to the expansion. But thanks for the reminder about retirements...

Good luck.

Thank you so much for the information guys. One more question, for now, is there a way to find out how one ranks in the pool as compared to others? Thanks.

777: I learned the hard way that using a MAC may not be best. I learned that my PAQ was not received----- so I resubmitted everything on a Windows-based PC.

As many of us found, the Atlas Engage Us section has been modified several times since the application window opened. It is my hope that updating our information (now via a PC) will be viewed favorably.

I am confident my info is now in a pile----trying to get it in the correct pile and cracking the HR Code is now the key. If anyone has any codebreaking skills, apply within.

Continue luck to all.

Just bought some stock on the 8% loss. Proving once again, I am not a smart man investing in an air carrier. More of principal for the moment.

Analyst just reading one factor in the presentation. Everything so far shows good execution.

Interesting points from the call:

Growth of revenue 13% over 2011 3Q.

10% Adjusted net income increase over 2011 3Q.

Good growth but not as much as forecasted.

Atlas has been increasing their cash position
-for rainy day worst case market scenarios
-to better position themselves for growth when an opportunity presents itself i.e. acquisitions of aircraft or competitors.

Atlas is increasing debt because of new aircraft purchases (747-8)
- goal is to balance increase in debt with increased earnings
- earnings are rising even faster than debt which leads to a better leverage position.

Global cargo demand is improving but not as fast as originally expected.

Military cargo demand is falling. This has a bit of a negative impact on Atlas, but a more significant impact on competitors using 747-200s.

Military contracts are a cost plus payout. Atlas 747-400s and 747-8s are in demand in the global charter market whereas there is little to no demand for the competitors 747-200s which will have to be parked.

As of October 1st, U.S. military will no longer charter 747-200s.

There are 42 747-200s worldwide in use that Atlas believes will be parked rather rapidly.

There are 11 747-400F's that are parked worldwide and are available for lease or purchase (CEO could list all of them and their former operators from memory).

There are 4-6 747BCF's that are parked worldwide and are available for lease. Atlas stated that these aircraft were not desirable as they have more maintenance due to their age, burn more fuel, and can carry less payload.

Doesn't sound good for Kallita.

The future of air cargo/freight is the B767 and B777.

The future cargo market is the Americas; Canada, USA Mexico, Latin America, South America. An ideal market for thr B767.

I'm afraid I beg to differ. We have more customers knocking at our doors for work than we have -400s and -8s to fill. Both are attractive to the user and the future looks very good (at least as good as anything can in the aviation business).
