Atlas Air Hiring
#4792
The post I made was a "compilation" of what I found useful and was prior to the test being rewite. Since then a few new tidbits of info have been posted here which I've found very helpful. I'm still waiting for a call and would love to be a part of the team at Atlas. I've been in and out of ETAR numerous times over the past few months and seen that big beautiful plane on the ramp every time and thought I would love to be on that jet one day. If your in ETAR I would love to buy you guys a drink and pick your brain about life at Atlas or just get to know a few of you without having to always talk shop? Hope to see you at the Cockpit Lounge. Good luck to all and fly safe.

I don't work at Atlas, so I can't speak entirely on the subject, but I think most of that depends on the Airport Authority themselves. I know in DFW, for example, your airline must have gate space there in order to get a parking permit. It requires a letter from the station manager.

I use LAX and have never needed a letter from anyone to get Employee Parking Lot (and rates)...we have had a base at LAX since 1999 (??) and I've only been based there for about 3 months during my time at Atlas. But even the time that I have been based in ANC, and JFK, I have never been asked to provide anything other than my company badge to buy a parking pass.
However, please don't get bogged down in this small-ticket item here...if you want the job, this is the small stuff. Consider the other benefits (or lack there of!!) of a career at Atlas...blah, blah, blah.

Regrettably I will not be the 4800th poster. This is a real good time for us prepare for the interview. Though things have slowed for the rest of the year (which from my read is very normal as training assets are put back to the line this time of year for the increased lift.). It has been tough to keep the razor sharp, but I believe in the long run it will be worth it.
Happy Thanksgiving Day in advance.
