The vodka of choice there is Vivat...about US$5 or less!! Take it from a 767 guy...I go there a lot lately. Go with any (or all) FAs, they will surely be going to the shopping center...they always do

Serendipitous!
Just as an indication that we aren't blowing smoke when we say your schedule WILL change...daily, I am on my first day of this month's pairing. After a short flight from JFK to ORD (this is the first time this year that I have actually done anything directly out of my base) I am now on change #5 to my original schedule. I do enjoy the adventure of this very much but please be certain you are ready for a schedule written with moveable ink before diving in. It is what it is and this flexibility is why our customers like us and keep coming back.
- Picked to go somewhere not so great and at the last minute changed to somewhere awesome that I wouldn’t have been able to get otherwise.
- Scheduled to go somewhere new and nobody else wanted the trip and the place was awesome.
- Someone dropped off a trip and I was called the night before and asked if I could go.

As for schedule changes, you get all kinds. You may deadhead around the world to operate a single leg (my personal best in 6 months on line - I went 20,000 miles to operate a 1.5 hour flight) or you may leave home, land at, say, ORD thinking you're going to catch a connection to your trip and instead be sent home. Roll with the punches.
I don't care what happens once I leave, so the only frustrating aspect has been when it happens while i'm home and I get put on Home Reserve. Babysitters/day care centers aren't as rapid to adjust to the changes as I am.

Wish we could bring some of that back.
Im sure your FRU experience beats our communal tent accommodations. I hear the city has some good points of interest if we could ever get out to see them.

Sorry to say, but yes the Hyatt Regency is very nice...btw, thanks for your service and the sacrifice. It is very gratifying to bring the soldiers home from various places...

the distinction is jet time vs. turboprop time, not fan vs. jet. and it's no big deal either way. supposedly if you didn't have experience in two types, it triggered additional OE, but you'll most likely get that waived.

we keep hearing internally that the pool is empty. we'll know for sure when they start filling classes.

But that won't mean you don't have a shot at it...a few pages back, someone mentioned they had a C130-only guy in their class.
The number one way to get a call is to find a friend that you might know at Atlas...and get a recommendation from him/her. Beyond that, you are not any less likely to get a call than anyone else just because you don't have turbojet/turbofan time.
