Question, what is all this talk about a grill where people meet? That way i can look for it when i get down to MIA.
You do not look for the grill. The grill will beckon you when the time is right. It has those powers.

Maybe it's just me, but the grill thing is overrated. It's nice to have but it's not this huge meeting place that its made out to be.

R1?

By contract, how long do we have to report to our gateway when notified?

Five hours if they contact you between 7am-noon local time for you, other wise 10 hours.

Read section 31 of the CBA. It doesn't have to be your gateway. Also, they are responsible for getting you from you residence.

If you have the CBAG it puts in plain English.

Many thanks! Just to clarify-is that time to the airport or actually time to be on-board the flight itself?

"...must be able to depart on a flight..." So yes, the correct answer to your question is closer to 3+30 or 8+30 for a report time.
