The folks in HR do everything they can to give you all the heads up they can. They understand the need to take care of your current employer.
I would expect some Christmas notices going out for the first class in Jan, rumored to be 14 Jan. Also, latest rumors are, they will be running a class every two weeks with numbers being 8 to 10 per class.
Good Luck!

I would keep calling. If they wanted to offer you an interview once, they still want you. As mentioned earlier in this thread, our HR is swamped, so it is easy to fall through the cracks...... Good luck.

You could try [email protected] that is if you have a name, in addition to keep calling.
They are not very good at returning calls and/or keeping communication on time as they tell you through the process. It is what it is.
Good luck.

I'm curious if this happened to anyone else.
I got called for an interview on a fri. I was flying when they called so I called them when I landed which was within 3 hours of their call. I left a message.
I waited till weds of the following week, I still had not received a call back, so I tried again. According to the message, HR was out of the office for the week (doing interviews I presume).
I waited yet another week and a half with no return phone call, so I called and left yet another message.
Its been almost 2 months and I never received a return call.
I have thought about re-applying, but I really don't know what to do.
Any advice?

He called HR to no avail. I emailed the individual who called to no avail.
So, you're not alone in this regards.

I had a bud get put in the pool back in 08 before the furloughs. When the hiring started back in 10 they reinterviewed those in the pool but he never got the call. Who knows what goes on in the minds of HR. Its their show.

Just another point of view; many times HR will call X amount of prespective employees. Some will not pass the phone interview, some will not want the job, some, like in this case, will not answer and be passed over until the next round of calls go out, and finally, some will actually be called in for the interview. It is all based on numbers. If you need to hire 10 pilots, 50 calls go out.
If you are truely interested, stay on their radar. Just be careful not to be annoying.

They probably reached their required quota of phone interviewees who passed the first phase during that phone-a-thon by the time you called back. Try the e-mail avenue to get a response. Maybe letters if that doesn't work. Find the balance between being an enthusiastic applicant and a pest.
If they called you, you are qualified and should hear from them again. But don't let yourself get lost in the shuffle!

I'm just trying to find the happy balance between eager and pest.
