Are you saying that what 5ypilot says is totally accurate? $3600/mo take home from a $7600/mo gross minimum guarantee? That's ridiculous. That's not true. Plus he claims to break 62 hours not more than 3 months a year...again ridiculous I believe. I've been on the line less than 6 months and have averaged 72-75+ hours CRT every month. If he's doing min guarantee that means he's working 12 days a month or less every month that he's not on vacation or in training. I find that extremely hard to believe, especially for somebody that registered here mere days ago and started spewing misinformation.
I truly appreciate your service as a Union rep. Once I'm off probation I plan on serving in whatever Union position I can.
I'm somewhat disappointed that you only stopped VXing 7 days ago, rather than when "negotiations" began. I look at it differently I guess...I have never planned to VX and probably never will. I value my time off too much.
I also encourage every Atlas pilot to NOT VX..especially during negotiations..but I want a new contract that makes it so nobody feels the need to VX. If nobody ever does VX time, the company has to hire more to staff the operation. Better staffing is better for all of us.
Of course, I know this is not realistic, because there's always guys with multiple ex wives, working OT "to pay for my boat", etc....
I'm all in, and even as a probationary pilot I tell people what I think about them working overtime. I support my Union, my ExCo, and all other pilots towing the line....the guys that are HOPing, screw 'em! Ostracize them. Treat them like a b!tch.
When people spread misinformation, I feel it's our duty to call them out. We need truth, not fearmongering.
When I got here I planned on VXing every chance I got. I made good money my first year. Now I'm a union rep and I don't VX to set an example for everyone else. This changed of the amendable date of 7 days ago. I face the very real possibility of making peanuts if Atlas decides to take my flying away from me.

I encourage everyone else to support each other and make the personal choice and sacrifice to no longer VX. This isn't a forever deal, just a short period of time where we can stengthen our position, especially going into this 4th quarter drastically short.

5th year 767 FO pay, 98.2 x 62 hrs = 6,088. Uncle Sam/401K that I max because our match is a joke/health insurance/union/assessment/imputed tax on gateway travel/hotels = 40% deductions. 6,088x.6=3,653.
I work a hell of a lot more than 12 days per month, but I repeat, a sick call, a training event or vacation drops you to guarantee. 6-7 months out of the year its guarantee.
But I kill'em on per diem...
If this is misinformation then I fail to understand some other alternate reality.

I conflict bid training, maximize vacation, had to use a sick call, sat some R1, and maximum deductions for family benefit on a 50hr guarantee. It doesn't leave much to take home. I made these kind of pay checks on the Be1900 in '99-'00.
A big thank you to everybody that added anything meaningful to this thread, especially to the likes of 744driver (and others)
After two previous unsuccessful applications I did get an invitation to take the Online assessment.
Passed it this morning.....will be waiting for the phone-call..

To new applicants; the next interview session is Sept 28th-30th in NY; they have not confirmed when the October interviews will be.
With Allegiant, Envoy, and SWA/Delta getting TA's with significant pay increases, doesn't it seem that Atlas has nochooce of the direction they will have to go with pay and contract? I'm hooeful to get onboard at a time when things improve significantly...if not, I have excellent options already (including my current $100+k flying job with a mandatory retirement at 57...but our schedule is horrible.)
I've absorbed all of the input here, it will be something to consider with seriousness post interview.

YMMV, but I averaged 72 pay hours/month on the 767 over 3.5 years, and I was senior. I'd have to look back at the 747 to see how that turned out. Still haven't broken $100k/year and I'll be into 6th year pay next pattern, but like others, I value time at home when I can get it.
