Atlas Air Hiring

Not trying to be dramatic but my honest opinion is if you have a clean resume you will absolutly run from this place once you see how bad it is, and they know it. It was a net gain of 6 pilots since april I saw with 46 resigning since then. They might be driving this place in to the ground but they are smart enough to know the best and brightest wont stick around.

Alfonso1 and Duesenflieger, yes, I too got the tbnt email a few weeks ago, and get to wait another year. No interview, no test, no phone call, nothing.
Know many people at Atlas who are all scratching their head. Competitive? 8000hr, 1000+ on the whale-400 doing acmi all over the world. Apparently it is now the computer who is deciding.

Reject people whose experience exceeds their requirements?
It makes me feel like they are using a computer in the same way that
The State Lottery to select the winning Lotto Numbers.
What kind of HR do they have when they don't make selections
Themselves?
Does the DO, CP, or Line Pilots have ANY SAY in terms of the
Qualified People getting Interviewed or Hired?

Strange is an understatement.
It seems more like insanity!
You exceed their requirements and they blow you off without
Any interview, testing, Phone Call, Nothing?
Doesn't make any sense.
That is very strange, especially since HR complains they are running out of resumes.....
My guess can only be that they think you will bounce to a major because they think you are over qualified. Still, seems strange to go to all that effort to say "TBNT"
To be honest guys, this is a fun job and I'm sure it's disappointing....but my opinion is to take it, run with it, and find something better. There is a lot of heartache here, and while you would no doubt enjoy the job, you may be able to find something better....
Just my 2 cents. Good luck

I would agree, Crazy Canuck, but if they are rejecting low-timers like me who aren't remotely qualified to go to a major any time soon, it makes me wonder otherwise. Plus if I were hired I would actually stick around. I like international flying.

Maybe its a ploy to blame the union for preventing people from working at Atlas. It seems we are always short, and it seems like many qualified people apply. Maybe they are too qualified; qualified enough of real job....
