I've GROSSED $14k and change so far this year. You should really be aware of what you're getting yourself into if/when you come here.

Southwest pilots just landed a new deal while Atlas management continues to play the negotiation delay game and practices an adversarial relationship with their pilots.
The future at Atlas Air is looking pretty bleak right about now.

I thought the $1600/month pay ended after 4 months or the end of IOE, whichever happened first? And don't you get per diem during training as well?
How many times did you have to go back to the sim (re-qual etc) during your lengthy wait to finish IOE?
During your wait for IOE did they give you a solid timeline (yeah, yeah, I know it's Atlas) or was it more of a 'maybe next week'?
Thanks.

Ok sorry for all the questions, but...

Yes, you do receive per diem, but you don't receive the per diem payout until the end of the month prior. If you start Sept. 1st and spend all month in MIA, you won't see that per diem payout until the last paycheck of Oct.
I completed IOE with just days to spare, literally. I know of several pilots that started IOE and expired before having to go back for training before completing IOE.
There is no solid timeline on ANYTHING related to the training here. You may be called 5 days after going home to start IOE, or you may sit at home for 5 months as one of my 767 buddies did. He didn't start OE until he finally called. We honestly think they forgot about him. He did one leg in the 767 and had to go back to the schoolhouse before he could finish IOE. The amazing thing is, he started at Atlas BEFORE I did.
Let that sink in. I've taken home $2,500 in the month of August. Regional FO's are now earning more than I am. And the latest update doesn't see a contract being signed anytime soon, and I don't honestly believe that management cares.

"$1600/month for 4 months or the completion of OE".
Is that whatever comes first? And is the 4 months in addition to time spent at the training center??? So you could conceivably spend 6-7 months on this type of money.
The Part135 carrier I used to work at paid more in training.
Anybody interview recently?

It's from date of hire to 4 months or OE completion. For the sake of clarity, let's just say training pay ends after 4 months on property, because you won't complete OE by 4 months. No way.
By they way, Allegiant is hiring and they have a much better contract.

Just spoke with a couple of 76 FO's that are 7 months into OE and not complete. Unless you have a trust fund, are independently wealthy or have a spouse with a real job, there is no earthly reason to subject yourself to this indentured slavery. There are so many better options out there now including some of the regionals sadly. Shameful situation, truly shameful. We used to be the cream of the crap.......now we are just crap.
