To each his own.

If you have a few days off and feel like going home, feel free. Or don't.

Or apply at Allegiant. They have a better contract.

Anything over 10 days is above the min guarantee.
You've clearly never called in sick or conflict bid your training days....

You WILL make 50 hour guarantee in those cases

With no way in the contract to get high credits (Daily rig, etc) the ONLY way you can make extra $$ at Atlas is to stay out longer. That means 20+ days away realistically. For those of us that like to be home, take vacation, and drop training on work days (not coming in on off days) you will be at min pay about half the year. Throw in the company arbitrarily sending you home early or putting you on home reserve, which both pay nothing, a few times a year and you get the idea. Without a new contract you can make more $$ and be home more almost anywhere else flying a boeing or airbus.

Atlas management still hasn't accepted the fact that unless they sign a new CBA on par with the rest of the industry their plans for all this new business is nothing more than a pipe dream.

Many qualified pilots out there, and I doubt the amount of applicants willing to fly the Queen of the Skies internationally will drop any time soon. Until pilots go away, there is no reason for introducing a new TA at Atlas....

Atlas lowered their mins 4 time already since 2011. They had to revamp their training to accommodate the low-experience new hires. ..some now have no jet AND no international AND no flights above 18000'. Also a good number have no turbine PIC. About 1/2 of regional pilots, and probably all pilots, won't do long haul. Next Atlas will have to hire C-172 instructors With bareach ATPSs. Current new hire attrition about 50% is the rumour...and no-shows for class.
