I contacted HR (interviewed 29th) and was told they have not set up 1st quarter classes. Was told that mid-December they would be assigning Jan/Feb classes. No mention on equipment assignment.
I know it seems like a long time to wait, but it will be here before you know it. HR continues to have their hands full. If you don't hear anything by mid-Dec, I would make contact to get a better feel on the training cycle. Good luck to those that are swimming. Look forward to seeing you in class.

Totally agree C5! An Atlas new hire has nearly the same QOL as the top guys. Only difference is the top guys get to pick their vacation days. I was trying to discount the quick Atlas upgrade because it really isn't close to a second year F/O at Delta, UPS, Fedex etc...

What he is saying is good luck on a new hire holding any summer vacation or holidays. You'll likely end up with vacation slot in the spring or fall.

You only know what line you got on the 23rd. Then there is the VTO bid on the 24th. Your actual schedule is published on the 27th so you have 3 or 4 notice what you're doing if you start on the 1st. Minus traveling on the last day of the prior month.
"Some airlines are already suffering from acute pilot shortages. Cargolux, for example, is currently struggling to find pilots, having revised its terms and conditions for flight-deck contracts, sources say. The Luxembourg all-cargo carrier is so short of co-pilots that flights are being delayed for several hours “or even possibly cancelled,” insiders reveal.
Former Cargolux chief executive Dirk Reich was apparently advised that the new contracts will become a major barrier to recruiting the same numbers of quality pilots as in the past. Unsurprisingly, the mood among Cargolux’s pilots is now “at an all-time low,” according to close observers."
