What? Did you get bored trolling on the ABX and ATI pilots that you decided to come over here?

Right now I only get 8 days off per month, with no improvement in sight. So Atlas is definitely high up on places I would like to end up. Just nervous about all the stuff I am reading.
For those wanting to live in ANC it's a good deal, but you'll never make what you would at a legacy, FedEx or UPS. You'd probably be gone 10 days a month and could score days on at home. You'd get senior in base at ANC pretty quick too.

The company owns you for 17 days a month, not 10, thus you will be gone for 17 days a month. If you are a reserve crewmember, the company can involuntarily extend you for 3 additional days on top of the original 17.

Yes the company does "own" you for 17 days but when I was based in ANC I regularly scored plenty of days on in ANC. Someone living in base at ANC would be able to do the same and it would be a good deal for them. There aren't many people who already live there and most Atlas bases do spit you out and you never return to base.

Anyone care to share what the day consists of?
done interview on Sept 28th. Show up at the hotel lobby around 0730am. doors opened in one of the hotel conference rooms at 0815am. they take the folder they asked you to bring then talked about Atlas and showed a video about the company. Then they started with the interview 2 phase. for me the first was with HR a lady from HR Dept and a pilot. TMAT, why Atlas about ur career, where else have u applied, what do u do on ur off time and hobbies. Then had lunch then it was technical Q's with a Capt asked to read Metar, Approch plate Q's and brief,STAR Q's,Oceanic Q's which I have experience in, WX prognostic Q's. After that ur done for the day!!

Hope that helps. Good luck!!

How would one fare being HSV based and living 1.5-2hrs from there? Still gone 17 straight, or more like 10-12 with 8-10 off or so?
