Absolutely. I'm not an Atlas pilot, but I work for another supplemental airline. You have to love what you do, the adventure of it, or you'll go insane. I'm a little over 2 years in at my current company, and if I get my bid choice next month, I'll add countries 23 and 24 to the list of countries I'll have operated into. A fair amount of those have been "What the HELL am I doing here?" types of operations, and there's something pretty neat about that.

Just two weeks ago, I added a new pin on my map of the world after all these years at Atlas...kinda cool, if you ask me!!

That new place? Djibouti...yes, Djibouti, and had a great time, thank you very much. Don't know where it is? Well, that's part of the adventure, isn't it?

Oh, and another one added a month or so before that...Romania (Bucharest, and Constanta). And I only count the ones where I have a hotel stay!!

Some topics I've found in this thread are:

Describe NOTAMs and their classes - is the system good? what changes would you make?

Explain the 3 biggest issues facing the aviation industry.

Explain the differences between LNAV, VNAV, and LPV approaches.

What are the operational and technical differences between CAT II and CAT III approaches?

Good Luck!

And it's almost as much fun to say as Sheboygan!

You got to stay in Constanta? We just blew through. Maybe there is some advantage to flying short legged little planes. I heard the beach is nice.

You know what the capital of Djibouti is? It's Djibouti--Djibouti, Djibouti. I'd say that's way more fun to say than Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Just sayin.

Spent about 60 hours there ..alas in January. I suspect very nice beaches in the summer time.

Easy to find, right behind Djiballz!
(This joke provided compliments of the USAF)

Outbound crew said the hotel was rockin' - the thumpin' beach party music started to die down at report time.

Alas, no overnight in Constanta for the pilot crew...but some FAs stayed at a resort on the Black Sea, and said it was a great place to be stranded!! Did stay in Bucharest...same country, so it counts!!

As for the short-legged little airplanes? I now get to fly with my favorite a$$...me

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled programing...

T minus 6 days till THE day. Anyone else interviewing on the 18h? Commutes are unpredictable so having an ETA may be hard to say but if it works out I'm planning on visiting this infamous 'Grille' its fans keep talking about. (WHOA, that totally rhymed!!)

Anyone at Atlas have a hotel stay planned for the coming week? It would be a treat to meet-and-greet..-and-grill!
