Oh, my! Unless you're a WICcan or an F-130 driver, no one says "so to speak".
Still, it was pretty funny.

Went home three times, worked twice
for the reserves, and bought a house
during new hire training. Just let them know on your training day off your doing military work and they won't mess with you. Sometimes you really do have to do your military stuff. Now this was all after ground school on my many 2-3 day breaks during sims/fbs.

I did go non current w the reserves, they understood, had my last sim yesterday in Miami and tomorrow I fly my AF jet to get recurrent... No biggie

Greetings all, newbie here to the forums, but was wondering the Atlas take on fighter guys? I am separating from the AF after 11 years flying and most of my time is as an instructor in the F-15E....have about 3000TT, 1700 Multi-jet in the F-15E and just threw my app in.....will numbers like that even compete with someone coming in with 6000-9000 hours in a heavy or regional? Thanks for any advice!

Put your app in. We probably have more guys from the 15 then any other pointy nose jet. We are not going to start saying "so to speak" after every off-colored joke though.

Yes. I was hired on with similar stats to you (3000tt, 1400 F-18). No heavy, no international. Like others have said, you won't know if you don't apply.

I would definitely put your app in. Atlas seems to be quite military friendly.

I apply every month, have not heard a word, but don't get discouraged. You won't get confirmation that they received your résumé/PAQ. Apparently, that's standard, so don't give up hope.

Just talked to training a couple of weeks ago about the "No-Reply" when guys put their app in. They are gunna fix it by sending out an auto-reply "thanks for applying". Hopefully......

I also apply every month. Heavy/int'l time. 121 PIC time. Nothing. Patience.

I just noticed its the 7th, Atlas usually receives a résumé and PAQ from me on the 5th of each month.
I'm slipping.
