Atlas Air Hiring

Yes, apply and give it a shot. There is no perfect applicant so get the app and resume in and let the company decide if you would be a good fit. I was hired with nothing heavier than the Dornier 328 and a big helicopter so there's hope for everyone.

I've said it before. I was hired with 7000hrs of Dash 8 time. No heavies, international, or even turbojet time! All turboprop, all the time. They are looking for the right fit with the company. Put in the app and attend a job fair of some sort to get some face time with HR, then see what happens.

I am just a line guy, so take this for what it is worth.
They are clearly hiring from a variety of backgrounds, which I am pleased to see. And yes, they value international experiance. But at the same time I am flying with new guys with regional backgrounds, and was told by a MIA person that they find them to be highly motivated and to have solid stick and rudder skills.
So yes, there is hope.

OK, I'll bite.
In the last year I have had 1 layover in NRT. It was for about 27 hours or so. I am sure other folks have been there more and less.
Cheers,
T
