I did the pre-screen phone interview Friday, and was given until mid week to do the online test. Assuming I pass that they told me to expect a mid-March interview. Looks like most will end up on the whale in the near term, nothin' wrong with that!

Wow, I wouldn't think that is a normal equipment bid is it? Vacancies equal to roughly 5% of the pilot work force seems pretty high. Is there that much growth, or more attrition than was expected?

This was a system wide position vacancy award which showed 16 747 and 8 767 captain positions awarded along with the 52 new hire positions.
Atlas has about 30 retirements this year for starters so I guess the rest is for growth and for whoever leaves for greener (or purpler) pastures ... I don't actually think there is very much attrition to speak of (though I'm always encouraging the senior guys to move on
)Also, as you have no doubt read, better to take the test asap to get the best point value on your overall score - assuming of course, you are ready for it.

I'll finish studying up today and take it either tonight or first thing in the morning!
