And it's sounding like Atlas just picked up about 18 Florida West crew members. So HR can now sit back, take a break and sip their Kool-Aid for another couple of months.

Can anyone elaborate just a little more? Did the crew member get ill and call out sick resulting in his termination?

Besides, not nice to snub your nose to guys that may very well be sitting next to you in the coming months.
"In fact, just last month, one probationary crew member was terminated due to medical issues after encountering unsanitary conditions in an Atlas aircraft lavatory."

As you are probably aware, a probationary crew member can be terminated for any reason. You are reading the unions interpretation of what happened and I am sure that many details are being omitted. Although it may be true, the company would never say it was because of this reason. They would just say, "thanks but no thanks...hit the road".

Here is a question: Why would FW pilots refuse? I mean seriously, they would have had a windfall of gains. I don't think it was a simple as you explained. Moot now.

[QUOTE=Globemaster2827;2309672]My guess is that IF we keep shrinking that we'll have to decide in the 4th quarter which contracts get served and which don't.QUOTE]
I agree. They can easily service the Amazon aircraft, but they may have to ground someone else's planes due to lack of crews...
Hopefully mgmt. will realize sooner rather than later that we need a new contract if we are going to improve and/or grow.
