That's a hard question to answer, it all depends on the hiring at the time. I know some guys that were in the pool for a year, but that was during the hiring delay caused by the retirement of the classics. HR gets antsy if anyone is in the pool for more than a year. The real question is when will classes resume.

The June class of 747 captain upgrades was delayed until September so perhaps new hire classes will resume around that time too. Maybe this is why things have been delayed-

Except that all of our latest aircraft (747-8s, and 767s) have been registered with a NxxxGT vs NxxxMC

It looks like N767MW (VIP 767) is on our schedule in GlobalNet. First flight from DAL-BED on June 3rd.

We picked up N855GT (-8F) yesterday fresh from the factory in Atlas Air colors and was flown to AMA to get painted in Etihad colors.

That aligns with the Texas Rangers schedule. Just an observation.

Did he submit a letter of rec internally? From what I've heard, walking in a resume doesn't have the effect here it does other places.

FWIW, I know guys who had multiple letters who applied every three months and it took a couple of years to get a call. Others have had no recs and got a call quickly. All you can do is keep after it when it cranks up again.
