Not really...because they are NOT adding any airframes. Just rerouting the airplanes a little...both 763Fs in Asia were mostly doing NRT-NGO-PVG-NRT-SYD-NRT.
Now...one is doing just NRT-SYD-NRT-MEL-ICN-NRT, and the other is doing TPE-NGO-ICN-TPE, with a few variations.
Still two airframes, one "based" in NRT, and the other in TPE...

Help please! Struggling to get my 100 hours even with the waiver. I have been doing a ton of sitting around on the road and hardly any flying (7 hours in May) In trying to bid I have few options. From the 76 guys would you suggest option A bidding a very low time line (23 hours) or just bidding reserve and hope to fly some of the international stuff to get hours. The clock is ticking to 150 days and the flying is just not happening. Just dont want to do the wrong thing with my bid and fly less. Any suggestions appreciated! Thanks

Maybe it's different in CVG, but I treat bidding as a work footprint, no matter what kind of flying a particular line might have. Granted, most jfK lines are reserve anyway, but I never put too much faith in getting to fly what I was awarded. Bid the days off you want. After that, bid international stuff or R2 in NRT. Don't sweat timing out - the instructors are sympathetic. Guy in my class took 4 PCs over 8 months before setting foot in the airplane.

Agreed, captainv...Training Dept knows the limitations of a small fleet, and training new Captains has become a priority (obviously). And once they get checked out, pairing requirements prevent new FOs from getting their 100 hours because new Captains and new FOs can't fly together!!
And giving OE to new FOs has even affected line qualified FOs and CAs for landing currency...
All that is a well-known condition in the last 4 years since all the hiring we have been doing since April 2010.
That said, 4 PCs in one year...is not good either, because they then become jeopardy events, and is an additional weight to carry around while waiting for OE or getting the 100 hours.
Also, I'm one for NOT doing the company's work for them...they know the situation, they will make that call to get you out on OE. So, put your hands in your pocket, and wait for that phone to ring...IMHO.

I dunno, all my NRT-SYD flying was just replaced with domestic stuff. Maybe you got it?
Oddly, they put on memo saying that I was removed so that I wouldn't be paired with a CA who's below 100 hours (green on green situation). I'm closing in on 1000 in type, so they're holding everyone to the 100 hours at Atlas, it seems.

2) The 100 hours in 120 days can get a 30 day extension with "refresher" training. If that fails to get you the 100 in 150, then a PC will restart the 100 hour clock for consolidation. One suggestion would be to email your fleet captain to enquire about refresher training to extend the 120 days.
It's predicted to be a slow summer in MIA.

Not sure about that either as they pulled me off one trip for that reason then I got paired with a captain on his first trip off OE as they said it was okay that it did apply to type and not company and that was an AMC trip....so who knows. (plenty of time in type here) They do keep pulling trips off though and I am hoping not to have to do a PC. I am 47 hours right now with 60 days to go.
Actually, I care less about the 100 hours than I do that I'm probably going to be getting the 50 hour min this month. On the plus side, I've gotten a lot of time at home this month.
