After reading some of the posts on the 1224 forum; Guys that are ready to just go ahead and admit defeat two years before we even get our chance to make a go at improving our lot, I am afraid for our pilot group and the direction we are heading. It's almost like these guys are working for the likes of Purchase in an effort to dilute our efforts going into contract 16. I know those are harsh accusations; but, I'm telling you, from my perspective, that's the way it seems.

you have to look at it from their prospective...they are at top pay but don't need to be top of the food chain. They just want theirs before us young guys confront what they've swallowed for years. QOL issues/top pay are not important to them as they've been doing this for more than a decade with or without a union. They value job security and top pay til retirement. They don't see the benefit of rocking the boat and gaining back all which they've watched their bretheren since 2000 elsewhere were forced to give up. The senior guys didn't give up that much and watched their peers elsewhere retirements dry up, hiring advancements, and bancruptcies with 24 yr US air FO's still on A330s. Lets face it you didn't come to atlas or ACMI because u valued QOL and top Pay. This is for us young guys to change or vote with out feet and go across the street. This will be a very important contract for us. Strength in numbers and educate don't alienate no matter which side you are on!!!!

Although it's easy to spot the problem children as they toss in "As Michael used to say, 'this is the life you've chosen'."

I know this is completely off topic, but I also know that quite a few pilots that use multiple currencies will see this and hopefully be able to help me. I need one of the little black currency organizers. It has about 7 zippers for all the different coins and folding money. I can't seem to find one and when I ask people who have, well , they don't remember where they got them.

Also can be found at the luggage-tag-guy in Itaewon (Seoul, S Korea)...had one that I used for a few years, but then zip-lock bags work fine as well!!
BTW, don't save the coins we all pick up all over the world...I hang on to them till I DH on EK, CX, etc (or stay at a Sheraton somewhere) and donate the coins...Also, recently donated a bunch on both Etihad and Turkish Airlines...

Looks like three more for Titan....
Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings (AAWW) entered into an agreement to purchase three 777Fs from Guggenheim Aviation Partners (GAP). No date for completion of the agreement has been announced, but an Atlas spokesperson said the company hoped to finalize the acquisition soon. Guggenheim’s three 777Fs are currently on long-term dry lease to Netherlands-based express company TNT, and while Atlas declined to name the lessee, it did confirm that the purchase would be made with the leases attached, and that the freighters would be managed by its dry-leasing subsidiary Titan Aviation Leasing.
AAWW already owns three 777Fs, purchased this year with dry leases attached (two to AeroLogic and one to Emirates). Assuming the purchase of the Guggenheim aircraft is completed, it will bring AAWW’s 777F fleet to six units, continuing AAWW’s planned expansion of its dry-leasing business in general and the expansion of its 777F fleet in particular.
Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings’ core business has always been ACMI leasing, and when asked whether it planned to add 777F operation to its ACMI portfolio, the company said that while such a move might make sense in the future, for now its focus would remain on dry leasing the type.
