Yes, I've actually used that line, and ended up going on the very flight that I wanted in the first place.

Also, remember, this is (still) a 747-centric airline. That means that the light-twin guys that DH on company 747s to Asia (or anywhere, but usually Asia) are often asked to get to CVG 12 hours prior to their DH flight, in case their line changes and they have to operate that airplane...only problem?...that DH airplane is a 747, and us light-twin guys are (of course) not qualified to fly the 747!!

So, the Union gets involved and guess what?...guys end up arriving in CVG (to DH to Asia on a company 747) with 2 hours between their flight from home to CVG on a commercial airline, and the company 747 to Asia...
Wrong.
You 76 types still have to be well rested to serve the food and drinks to the Gucci crowd flying the 747's!

I know the test is pass/fail, but does the actual score go into the hiring decision? What's a "good" score?

If you had a completely non-flying staff position in past 10 years, report it as a break in flying on that question. If it was "flying staff" where you attached to a flying unit and maintained a qual, then no break should be reported.

Only hr knows the answer to this question...they don't tell us.

...all 747s are getting a flight attendant in the near future just for this reason. Apparently this will save us from searching through all the galley boxes on the -8.

Can anyone tell me where to find the pool with questions for the test and also, if studying the ATP manual would be enough to be prepare?

It's all here in the thread, here is a repost/copy of an old message which indexes the thread, I think it's msg #5381 from last March. Yes, studying the ATP question bank would help. My test had questions straight out of that bank.

No opinion either way. But as mentioned, I'm guessing EVERYTHING from the phone screen to the multiphase interview takes care of that. To include the hand writing test portion of the interview.

Thanks for the clarification.

Living in base is a different dynamic and as such the interaction with travel is normally limited to mid/end of pattern travel.

Having just taken it I would say you should probably study North Atlantic operations and detailed weather theory and symbology as well.
