Special thanks to the Women in Aviation organization for being so accommodating and hospitable.

Nice. Did they give you any information about hiring, future/expected classes for the rest of the year, etc.?

Didn't get that in depth but they are currently hiring.

[QUOTE=tunes;1596103]thank you for not even remotely addressing my question and going on a complete tangent.

Wow. Nice way to lay into a fellow C-5 driver who is simply trying to help.

And he didn't even go off on a totally inappropriate tangent ... when he said "Your C-5 time is still PIC even though there is no type rating" that might indicate to you that the "type rating" is not a specific limitation of the Atlas minimums for military pilots.

Take some time to read through this thread (the single most significant source of help and information on getting hired at Atlas, anywhere) and you'll find many C-5 (and other military) pilots who have been hired; none of whom are "type rated" in the FA-18's, F-15's, C-17's, or C-5's that they flew in their previous life. Mil pilots seem to thrive here and Atlas seems to like to hire them.

What time did you visit Atlas at the WAI? and how long would you say the wait was?

I took a couple weeks of FMLA when my son was born and was removed from the CASS system. I believe the airlines must do this for any type of leave in order to comply with CASS rules.

Yeah, going off to serve your country or to take care of your family makes you (all of a sudden) unsafe, and unworthy, of enjoying one of the few professional courtesies we have left...
