Atlas Air Hiring

There are ways, if you know the CBA cold, not to spend 30+ days on the road for 150+ credit hours. Buuut I digress, since I don't need someone from the company thinking I'm pushing for an illegal work action when I'm not.

Hi all, lots of good info on this thread. I was wondering from you guys that are on property, is Atlas actually hiring guys with 2000TT 500 Jet? Im at 2100TT, a little over 1000 jet, regional guy. I have a management internal rec, but they aren't part of the flight department so I don't know how that will play out.

They have hired guys with no PIC, and guys who were too young for an ATP. Not sure what the lowest time guy was hired...but the mins are there for a reason. I would definitely apply if I met the mins and I was considering Atlas.

I can say that I was hired with 0 TPIC. All my PIC is in old Cape Air 402s; I just never got a chance to upgrade at my previous 121 carriers. Had a good bit of right seat 767 time though, which no doubt helped.

That's good to hear that you got picked up with no jet pic, for guys like me. I have like 950 PIC, none jet though. College grad. all my 1000 jet is 121 FO.

I was hired with no PIC. If you're close to upgrading it might be a good idea to get your 1000 PIC before you come here just so the box is checked. Just an opinion. Atlas won't be able to stop hiring until after all of the majors stop hiring.

Unfortunately I am no where near an upgrade. Been at my current job for 3 years. I am actually still junior reserve.:(

I asked Jeff Carlson this question at the ANC crew meeting for a friend of mine who has 3500 hrs but hadn't finished his ATP (mil guy). He said they wouldn't look at someone until their ATP was complete.

Well its a good thing I have an ATP then!:D That's surprises me though, I would think they would wanna pick up the mil guys and just give them the ATP with the type.

I have read a couple different answers on this huge thread, but what is the story with the MIA base? I live down this way so if I was able to get picked up I would prefer to eventually be down here. As of today is it senior? junior? thanks
