A middle eastern airline.
80 firm, 40 options. We are taking #16 this weekend. The delivery schedule is supposed to run into/through 2028. We are already about 7 aircraft short because Airbus is having manufacturing trouble.

The only middle eastern airlines I see on the A220 list is Egypt Air. They are in the process of adding to their fleet. I don’t see anyone else.

we were supposed to be profitable by Q4. That could still happen. They are working a deal on getting 6 A220s from the used market. That will close the gap on our lack of airframes due to Airbus not delivering on time. Things are going good enough. I get a laugh when other pilots’ come over to tell us we are going out of business. Just like everyone said AA was going bankrupt for the last 5 years. We actually have a lot of very qualified, very experienced management in place, whether we like them or not, and they do know how to manage an airline. We were hit with unexpected delays from the FAA and Airbus all at once that definitely weren’t planned for, but we’re on the backside of that.
it’s always fun to get out of your own reality and go tell pilots’ at other airlines how bad they have it and what financial hardships their company is in, I guess.
