Delta Interview Format

My interview is coming up soon. I'll try to post the results.
Sounds like hiring is canceled until next year and they are just getting the last guys through the interview process. I was given an interview date before the furlough guys started coming back en masse, so they gave me the choice of "interview now or interview later". I chose to get it over with, get 'hired' (knock wood), and join the list of poolies until the ground schools start up again.

Delta Inteview Format
A good friend recently went through the Delta interview process and was hired on. He was part of a 10 person interview process: 5 Military pilots, 5 ASA folks, I believe 5 - 6 were hired and the rest were not.
Good news was he was hired, bad news was he might have to wait until next spring to go to training. Seems they might have overstaffed this go round.
Another bonus was he said they are looking at 600+ retirees, 65+ pilots leaving the airline every year, which means more open slots for new pilots.
Okay with that being said here is the run down on the interview process:
1) HR interview - Pretty standard run down: Tell me about a time stories, logbook reviews and why Delta etc.
2) Cognitive Test - Pretty non-standard testing. A lot of different mutl-tasking problems that require inputs on a computer screen while looking at different pattern sets. If you like playing brain games on the internet or your iphone should be pretty simple.
3) Aviation related test - Straight from the old gouge, a lot of different problems ranging from decent profiles to distance covered on VOR radials. Recommend going over the gouge to get a good feel.
That pretty much wraps it up. He did not know why he got a look and others did not. He has about 2400 TT in various military FW platforms but nothing too crazy for hours or other qualifications.
Questions or comments hit me and I will see what I can tell you.

Would it be looked upon poorly in the future if I were to decline a Delta interview? It has been established in the last several months that, with the exception of legacies, Comair pilots WILL NOT be hired at Delta. However, the HR people at Delta seem unaware of that and continue to call them in for interviews. With a once in a lifetime shot at interview, I would hate to squander it while the outcome would be a foregone conclusion.

You're making a boatload of assumptions, the big one that CMR pilots will not get hired at Delta. FYI, in my 2008 new hire class, we had 2 CMR pilots. There are other CMR pilots who have been hired here.
Trust me, if you get a call for an interview, you have just as good a shot at getting hired as the next person, whether you're CMR or not. Just park the "They don't like me because I'm CMR" attitude at the door. Otherwise, that's the quickest way NOT to get hired here.
As far as turning down an interview offer, you'd better have a really, really good reason. If they sense a lack of hesitation or interest, I'll bet your future chances are over.
BTW, are they still calling people for interviews?
