Throw this into a r/c airplane, spend time tuning the pid algorithms, and see for yourself what can be done with modern, cheap components off the shelf. Takes note, for that price, includes a backup telemetry radio. The flight controller has failsafe modes.
Theres nothing that can't be done right now. I am not trying to win any arguments, just want to bring you all up to speed of what IS being done right now. I realize that it's one thing for a model airplane, and another for an airliner, but the proof of concept has been well established. If they had to, they could have a 747 auto take off, auto land, and auto navigate as soon as they could integrate the systems together. Just trivial engineering.

(and this is after a bunch of them were cleared)
Someone touched on it earlier, but my question always is "how many times has the human fixed an issue with the automation in an aircraft that could have been disastrous, but because they were there, the only things that ends up happening is a write-up in the log at the end of the flight?"

I don't doubt that. That's not my concern. My question is about abnormal operations. Like when the thing rotates, brings the gear up and this sort of thing happens...
