I don't know why you guys are obsessing over the first year pay at ATI- I thought pilots making more was a good thing? What happened was some first year pay rates were inadvertently omitted for some reason (probably clerical error) when the pay rates of the 2011 CBA were incorporated into the 2013 JCBA. At that time furloughs and downgrades were the order of the day and I doubt anyone could imagine ATI ever hiring again.
The following first year pay rates were omitted:
DC-8 FO
DC-8 FE
757/767 CA
757/767 FO
757/767 IRO
The following first year pay rates were included:
DC-8 CA
727 CA
727 FO
727 PFE
Was this some scheme on behalf of the union and the company to pay new hires more?! No! The company tried to negotiate it down when they actually had to start hiring. Should the union have fought for lower pay for new hires?

My original intent was not to trash talk the company but to offer a legit look back over a first year here.
As previous post mention, the union is here is in complete disarray. Oddly most of what is on this site is true. Before coming here I have always read APC with some skepticism. When deals are made with specific union or key personnel it simply breaks the organization and destroys trust. Without a doubt it stokes the venting here on APC.

Starting a legitimate thread over a 1yr look back at ATI has to go into an online debate?
