K$ Crew Duty in New Contract are

Crew Consisting of 2 pilots - 14 hrs
Crew Consisting of 3 Pilots - 17 hrs
Crew Consisting of 4 pilots(2x crew) - subject to arbitration

The 2x crew arbitration was completed in August - now word on outcome yet - btw this arbitration was 1224's legal team's idea

so how do those stack up against "your" decent airline?

Good Luck
Y'all voted overwhelmingly in favor of your contract. I'm very happy with my representation at Atlas. Shouldn't all of us be happy?

What's your guess? -

I have said it elsewhere, but I'm my 0.02c opinion we are going about this wrong. Of all 1224 airlines Atlas is the only one that can really support it's own chapter. For that reason and the fact that Atlas has been open to this in the past tells me that they should do just that. 1224 stays, Atlas forms a new chapter. With that structure the remaining 1224 airlines are all very similar in size and no one group overshadows another. We still have a unified CVG representation and Atlas can do whatever they want.

Alpa is a bad idea for all the reasons previously stated.

This idea has been floated before. No response from 1224 leadership, no response from Teamsters National. I would support this idea and vote not to go to ALPA as it solves all of the problems.

The issue to me seems to be DW and his minions. Why would they want to leave the current situation when they can use all the other airlines at their will to further their own agenda?

As the K4 negotiation committee learned, it is very difficult to get Bourne and the other upper management at the Teamsters to get involved with this. If they go along with this, they now have to support an additional local with no additional revenue. It is not a good deal for them.

I hope you can get this idea to move forward, but I am not optimistic that it will happen. The only way I can see this happening is for the Atlas group to push to leave. If they did leave it would be counter productive for their contract negations as they would lose leverage.

On a positive note, it appears as though in the next 60-days we will submit the paperwork to the NMB. A short time after that we will have the opportunity to decide if we want the Teamsters or ALPA to represent us.

I applauded everyone that made the effort to move forward on our behalf. I think we are making the right decision, and I look forward to the upcoming election.

Just leave. When you guys were hired, you agreed to be represented by the IBT. Since 2009, Allegiant, Miami Air, Cape Air, and your Kallita were given a better life (not great, but better) by 1224. Absolutely there was pattern bargaining. Atlas is the last group to get their due.

Using the IBT (1.3 million members) to represent your 300 pilots has given Kallita the leverage to get a decent contract. No way or how will ALPA or an independent group do this for Kalitta. What more can you ask for? We all know that your group includes so many guys that will never agree to join any sort of brotherhood. Let it be. Or just leave.

Finally, I want to say that there have been so many people that have had their careers destroyed by trying to unionize the ACMI business. Your complaints about losing money are dwarfed by the dozens and dozens (hundreds?) of good people that were retaliated against by the scum bum ACMI carriers. To agree with the Connie Kallitas or the the Dave Bassetts or Barry Fine, etc. etc. about duty hours is a slap in the face to all that suffered. Shame on you.

Many of us have worked decades to ensure that we will never again endure the work rules of the past. Petty complaints at Kallita about wanting to work more hours than the body can take are just nonsense. Please leave the IBT and never come back.
