Except... We don’t actually have long duty days by default at K4, and we don’t get deadheaded all over the world, all the time... Two entirely different operations, what’s number one for you doesn’t even make the top ten list for us.

But now that you have yours, you could care less about any other groups. You are too dense too even understand how pattern bargaining works.
So hurry up and leave. ALPA deserves you and you deserve ALPA

You guys are in it just for yourselves. 1224 , DW and Atlas Pilots gave you support while you were negotiating a new contract.

Just leave. When you guys were hired, you agreed to be represented by the IBT. Since 2009, Allegiant, Miami Air, Cape Air, and your Kallita were given a better life (not great, but better) by 1224. Absolutely there was pattern bargaining. Atlas is the last group to get their due.
Using the IBT (1.3 million members) to represent your 300 pilots has given Kallita the leverage to get a decent contract. No way or how will ALPA or an independent group do this for Kalitta. What more can you ask for? We all know that your group includes so many guys that will never agree to join any sort of brotherhood. Let it be. Or just leave.
Finally, I want to say that there have been so many people that have had their careers destroyed by trying to unionize the ACMI business. Your complaints about losing money are dwarfed by the dozens and dozens (hundreds?) of good people that were retaliated against by the scum bum ACMI carriers. To agree with the Connie Kallitas or the the Dave Bassetts or Barry Fine, etc. etc. about duty hours is a slap in the face to all that suffered. Shame on you.
Many of us have worked decades to ensure that we will never again endure the work rules of the past. Petty complaints at Kallita about wanting to work more hours than the body can take are just nonsense. Please leave the IBT and never come back.

With all due respect, your statement does nothing more than affirm that we are making the correct decision to move on. When I hear a response such as yours, I ask myself what would happen if we were to stay with the Teamsters, how would we be treated. I suspect people like you would treat us much worse than you already have, so at this point staying with 1224 is not an option. Like many others you bring up the duty day, and it seems to be the consensuses from outsiders that we are bringing the supplemental industry down by accepting a contract you oppose. It has been said before but evidently no one is paying attention; what works for you is great, and what works for us is good for us. For you to say that petty complaints about wanting to work more hours than a body can take is nonsense. It’s an empty statement made without any real knowledge of what happens on a daily basis. In other words, it’s a great sound bite but there is no substance to your statement.
Our main issue is the way we were treated by 1224, for you to deny this is delusional. All of you know what happened during the negotiations, DW used us as a pawn. You’re ok with this because it was good for you, but for you not to acknowledge the ramifications for us is ludicrous,
Many of us have been recipients of ruthless management tactics, which is why there is a union on the property. There will continue to be a union on the property, but one that will not work against us. Don’t worry about K4 you will get your wish, we will leave and never look back. Best of luck with your contract, I hope you get what you want.

Damn right I am counting the money, first year FO, already into 6 figures with a few months to go.
I keep running into Atlas and Southern crews who to my face are trying to shame me about long duty days... I am willing to bet that you guys actually have longer duty days than we do. Just because it is on paper, doesn't mean we get abused by it. Maybe once I had a duty day in the past year that exceeded 18 hours? Only once!
Perhaps you should reflect on why long duty days on paper is a non issue at K4?? You Atlas guys must really get abused over it. We do not.

Is K4 short for Kalitta airlines. I’m in the process of applying there...

Colt, please do 2 things for me. First, provide flight numbers and dates so I can look at MISA and pull up the information. I will post the results on here to verify the veracity of your complaints. Second, please volunteer for the scheduling committee. You seem to have a nose for sniffing out problems with our scheduling department. Perhaps you can be an effective part of the change you and other pilots want. I look forward to hearing from you via private message with the dates and flight numbers. Please contact Captain Owen or Captain Nelson to be put on the scheduling committee. Thanks for volunteering. Appreciate you giving your time to our Union
