ULCC vs ACMI

I see you deleted your post before I had a chance to respond since you quoted me I'll see if I answer answer some of those questions for you. How many legs? some days it's one, some day it's 2 or 3. You've seen my block times so you can guess. It sounds like you're really reaching to show how much life is so much better at your company than an ULCC company. Even though it doesn't matter to me, since i'm just putting out info to help out to those interested instead of saying one is better than the other. How many times do i look at flights and how often am I in the jumpseat? really? are you going dig that deep? I would say once a month which is no big deal since my commute is about an 1.5 hrs and most of the time it's on my own airline (There's 11-15 flights total a day). I list for the JS ahead of time. If I don't get on the first (which is rare) I make it on the 2nd time on my own or the company buys me a ticket. We may not have the lounge access but I just go in, do my 3-4 day trip and go home. I rather have the extra money I make than hotel points, airlines miles and so on. The great thing is I can manipulate my schedule how I want as a line holder, so days between trips is irrelevant because it change monthly. I can take as much time I want off, since I can drop to 0. If you are more excited about airline miles hotel points and lounges, over extra pay, DC, LTD schedule flexibility, that's fine. One big thing that you didn't mention is, we sell our own tickets and don't have to rely on contract like the regionals, which was the biggest stress relief when i left the regionals.

As you said "a number of FO's finally met minimums. I have heard there will be upgrades in those classes mixed with guys in the 1 yr range. Not all FO's who hit minimums will take the upgrade for a variety of reasons. We have a top list of 20 yr guys happy to not upgrade. 100k difference in the total pay package. To each his own.

If they’re coming from a regional type atmosphere they need to realize that upgrade here isn’t as simple as switching seats and signing their name.

yes, I expect upgrades to remain at the 2 year or less for a while. There are many older FO’s apparently not interested in upgrading, and a few bypassing for many personal reasons that probably will pull the trigger at some point.

With seniority you will get more days off at a scheduled 121 (legacy, major, lcc/ulcc) while making more money. Not sure if omni or k4 you can work less days while getting a bigger paycheck, since everyone owes the company X amount of days per month.
