I’ll play devil’s advocate for anyone out there looking at ATI.
In the last 12 months morale has decreased significantly. Scheduling, Payroll and travel department has become more adversarial than supportive.
As of February 2022, year over year pilot utilization has increased and average block time per line has increased. Average days off has decreased.
Current CBA is in negotiations and average sentiment is poor around the time and prospects of eventual TA.
Retirement, soft pay, CBA language strength, and rest rules have fallen behind industry average. (Especially retirement if this is something important to you. Literally anywhere else, including some regionals, have better 401k matching and vesting schedules).
My advice:
Wanting to fly cargo and OK with back side of clock flying? Go to Atlas or Kalitta. UPS/Fedex if your resume can get you there.
Wanting to fly pax and normal daytime flying? Go to Frontier/Spirit, any Major, or go for a direct entry captain at a reputable regional depending on your resume.
Bottom line: 12 months ago I was proud to tell people about ATI and always advised applying. As of March 2022 I advise people to look elsewhere.
Happy to provide more details if interested, send a PM.

The exact kind of guy we don’t want to keep around here. Those of us who have been around longer than 4 years or so are happy. We see how incredible ATI is and where it’s going. Dude, we’re in negotiations. Name one airline that doesn’t have departmental issues during this time. It’s the entitlement mentality of the regional new hires coming in here over the last 2 years who are causing discord and pulling down morale. We’re gonna walk out of this with a contract making everyone else cry. Likely by summers end. Negotiations are going very well at the moment. The future is incredible bright at ATI. The industry is crazy right now, but we are still top dog on the block with Amazon. We surely don’t need guy in our ranks painting a picture that’s not accurate. Sounds like you should go find another carrier dude!
Why do all the ATI guys I see always have restaurant takeout with them?

You could easily qualify for 5 of these per week. We still complain, but not to the company. You often order something like barbeque brisket, and the restaurant will deliver fried chicken. We would never delay a flight for catering, because the individual pilot is the one who orders the food thru an app on their smartphone. The company gets billed for the first $35.

BWAHAHAHHAA! Thanks for the laugh! You don’t know your overlords very well. You’re gonna walk out with not a single solitary dime more than ABX got. If you think otherwise, there is probable cause for a drug test.

So your saying that ATI will have to sign a 5 year no raise contract to match ABX even with 8.5 percent inflation? We will see.... Very doubtful....

The ABX contract is not a "no raise" contract. We got a first year bump that brought us in line with ATI, then it's 2% annually from 2023 to whatever the final year is. I guarantee that is what your negotiating team is being told to take. If they want more they can buy it with something else...like home basing.
For five years, no matter what ABX tried, the answer was, "It must fit this cost structure." You think your negotiating team is getting something different? You don't think that's why you're now a year past your amendable date without a deal? We all have the same CEO, and I would be very surprised if he is telling the management at one company something different that what he is telling the others. Do you really think ATSG cares about 8.5% inflation? Do you know where you work? Your biggest customer is not in the habit of throwing large amounts of money at its contractors. You can be certain that they are holding the line on costs, and that is going to flow back to you.
Please feel free to keep beating your heads against the brick wall of ATSG negotiations. I hope you break through it because that would portend good things for the rest of us. But don't be surprised if all you end up with three years from now is a major headache.

I’m sure you know the phrase, walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it must be a duck.
That’s your company’s management or lawyer lackey making these post. You’re in negotiations I assume, so expect more stuff like this. The next step is to create dissent amongst the ranks and likely try to split the union.
Here’s some key moves;
1. Promote Union members to management positions.
2. Incentivize only certain groups within the pilot group, like super senior guys might get an offer for OT or FOs only.
3. Work every pilot to the max of the contract. Turn gray areas within the contract up and sway them as a win for the company.
4. You’ll start seeing empty promises. New planes, upgrades, better rest, hotels, whatever. But it will never come, just talk.
5. The final step is drawing out negotiations. Make it seem like things are moving forward, but provide constant excuses to delay meetings.
Just a little of the stuff I’ve seen in all my years. I’m on my way out, but you young kids better stick up for what you’re worth.

Somebody at ATI blows a lot of smoke at the new-hires. Some of them inhale very deeply and are still convinced that they're going to be bought by Amazon to become the next FedEx. That's all it is.
