Indoc is very chill and the all the instructors & people in management are knowledgeable and well experienced. The days are spent getting set up on all the programs the company uses, company badging, yellow fever vaccine, some basic SOPs, a lot of story’s from Dave (he’s a legend), and some basic intro to the 75/76 material & FMC. My recommendation would be to start clicking through the Cpat modules and knock out the useless sections during class because it’s very time consuming. ATI is taking classes of 30-50+ every two weeks now which is the largest in its history so the back log on sim training is starting. Expect at least a month home after indoc. Once you get your sim dates you go to either Ohio or Dallas and you have your Oral before you even start sims. After you get through the oral you have a week of flat panel training and two weeks of sims and you are done. Good luck!

Dave's indoc has to be the most worthless I've been to. Just a bunch of irrelevant stories and then everything we actually need to learn crammed into 2 hours with him not knowing anything actually relating to flying the line.

Wasn't Dave a F-4 driver in the Air Force, and wasn't he also an Airbus driver at US Air in the early 2000s???

Thank you for the information. Does ATI provide hotel during the indoc? If so, could you please elaborate on that ?

Thank you

How could I ever forget when he reminds the entire class of that every 5 minutes?

Can't recommend coming here unless you can't get hired elsewhere. Started here this year and have already lost 4 classmates. The following are all facts, but my opinion.

They issue temporary 6 months badges when hired because to quote security, "so many people are leaving before 6 months after they have their type rating."
Since 1 January this company has lost twice as many pilots as it has hired.
Within the last 2 weeks 2 emails came out for upgrade to captain-the first listing 6 spots then the second requesting 40 people to upgrade. At an airline of 5000 pilots, awesome. At 500, not a good sign.
Almost every member of the union that dealt with negotiations has either 1) left for other airlines or 2) joined management. I don't know if that's common occurrence, but check it out.
Pilots here are shortchanged monthly regarding their pay, including a CAPTAIN in April to the tune of over $12,000. It's routine to be missing all of your per diem, volunteer time, or times to be incorrect.
When i say common, this is happening to dozens and dozens of pilots.
Do what you will with this information. But feel free to ask around. If you're using this as a stepping stone, you can get more hours faster for now pay at nearly any regionally Also, to the OP....those lines go REALLY senior. You're only going to get them when someone who had it gets sick. Ask me how I know.

And before anyone says anything, this is all factual. I don’t see any errors in this post.
