SA proposed DOH, but then they decided to change some Cargo 360 pilots DOH dates which is bogus. The letter was sent out saying they were trying to be fair. When they switched my DOH date to benefit some of their guys I took that as a slap in the face.
Cargo 360 brought the 400s, the new scheduling, the bonus, the increase in pay,and a great Chief Pilot. SA returns the favor by changing our DOH dates to favor their guys. I always thought that it was SA's management that was classless. Changing our DOH dates is a classless act by the SA pilot group. I urge the SA group to rethink this absurd action.

That is how ours is, that is how yours should be.

What's up with the SACG getting the 5/10K transition bonus too? How has/will their life been disrupted? Infact, I think their life has only gotten better out of the deal. For example; new scheduler, -400s, 777 in a few years, 3 newer/better airplanes. The only negative I can see on their part is they will have to go to class for a day or two, to fly the Pratt engines, and a few people will loose an insignificant amount of sienority...big deal!
C360 guys are loosing an incredible amount of seniority, 100% of their check airmen status, they have to go to re-training on SA procedures, do IOE all over again, most likely loose out on the -400s/777, pay cut in the form of no DH pay for the new guys, frozen pay scales for the next 4 years, not too mention all the intangable headaches of simply being forced to change companies. Not to mention the fact that they have to now work for those shysters the Neffs and all their yes man cronies.
So, again, why does the SACG deserve a $5000/$10000 bonus just for showing up and doing what they always do anyways?
Don't gt me wrong, I'm glad they were able to squeeze blood from the turnip. Good for them, as people, but seems a bit unfair to, in effect say that the pain/trouble of the merger for the SACG is in any way similar to what the folks at C360 are about to feel.

You are classless. The only fair thing to do is merge a 3-1 merge. Your top three to our one since you guys were three times the size, but DOH probably would of been acceptable, but you guys are comically trying to change our DOH dates. Every company has their own method of developing DOH. The practice at Cargo 360 was done way before any talks of merger it just so happened to benefit 2 Cargo 360 classes.
I can't believe this was even attempted how ridculous. No wonder ......Biting my tongue...

Too Late....
I would propose that SAH pay a bonus to SAI crews in direct proportion to the # of Cargo 360 crewmembers that make the transition. The more that come over, the bigger the bonus.
18 Wheeler, you're very welcome, hope I can collect in ANC, and I hope I can recipocate (sp) some time.

Sacg
I think it is in our best interest to ratify the Side Letter.
It looks like a good offer and is probably far better than any counter-proposal we could anticipate if the Side Letter fails.
Accepting the Side Letter offers a better deal than we could have anticipated.
Further, ratification of the Side Letter does nothing to jeopardize what memebers of the SACG had prior to its existence.

Remember, Gents, if someone offers to give you something for nothing, take a moment and ponder what they might actually be purchasing from you and what it's really worth to them.
As for me, I can't wait to be rid of this entire sordid affair.

Your goals and expectations are waaaay too low. The SACG is passing up a fantastic opportunity to make a phenominal improvement in your lot in life, the clock is ticking, will you sieze the opportunity, or will the SACG go like sheep to the slaughter . . . . We will all know in a few days. I think it speaks volumes when 80+ crewmembers get offered decent paying jobs flying the whale and how many take it? . . . .
Neff has made a deal with the devil himself, he just doesn't know it yet. I submit that the SACG will/could be in the shoes of the C360 crew group in just a matter of months. You guys have a grand vision of a large ACMI outfit doing business around the world (it is a nice thought) with fast CAPT upgrades for all my friends. Then Oak Hill Capital will buy another small ACMI (me thinks, Focus or Tradewinds) and do it all over, resetting the depreciation clock again (that's where the real money is in this deal), then you all get "conditions of employment" to work for "Focus Air Holdings", all in <24 months, get the picture and I think that the chances of you getting the same severence deal that C360 got is . . . nil. I am prepared to make a tidy gentlemen's wager on my theory.
As for me, I'm with StripAlert, "I can't wait to be rid of this entire sordid affair" and get on with my life.
