Yes. HR has the Green Light to Hire 30 New Hires by the end of the year. Coming out of the Pool. I think there's about 60 people right now in the pool.
Up to 200 new hires next year depending on the DHL deal.

UPS has used full motion sims for interviews for years and I doubt they’ll change that anytime soon. (767pilot was the exception to the rule because he's sooo good that the HR only pretended to give him a sim eval. – Everyone knows Microsoft simulator is used on all superior pilots...
)Remember that because of all the displacements the 727 sim will be the only sim readily available to the HR folks...
To add to the rumor, the same person who mentioned us keeping the 727 sim told my friend that we’ll be getting at least 10 tripple 7s. Don’t know his title but I think he works in our maintenance department and is involved in the simulator maintenance and certification process.

I posted the rumor on APC and therefore it must be true!

I don't think the sim is being kept for the poolies... There's only 60 or so of them...

"UPS swapped a back projector from its 727 flight simulator to its 757 Rolls Royce simulator last week in Louisville. The swap saved the airline the cost of buying a projector for a 757 sim. The 727 simulator is currently being used by Business Development during customer visits and is scheduled to be dismantled in January to make room for the new 767 simulator."
