Default What else do I need?

I used to work for UPS (Part-Time Acounting) when I was back in college, while obtaining my BBA. I have talked to two managers I used to work for to see if they can send an e-mail of put in a good word at the HR Department. One of them is a manager at the Miami Gateway, the other one is the Caribbean/Central/South America Manager. I will be stopping by one of the offices in a couple of weeks, to see if they can put a name and a face together. Hopefully, this will expedite any help I could get.

I have had two pilots, that I flown with in my Squadron, write the on-line "essay". One of the is a 10yr FO, the other a 12yr Capt. It took them a couple to fill out the "essay".

I even have my old records with Employee ID number, and Supervisor Ratings.

What else should I do to get myself an interview?

Thanks,
Don Q

I thought if you worked for UPS and then left, they would never hire you back. Part time or not...

320 Driver,

I left on "Military Leave" Status, which ended up on terminal leave. I found out two years after it happened.
Hoepfully, I'll have a chance to get back with UPS.

Definitely not true. I threw boxes for less than 2 months just after graduating college. I quit because I found a flying job and the schedules conflicted.

I never tried to hide my previous employment history. I documented it on my application and discussed it at the interview. They asked why I left and I told them the truth. My career aspiration was to be a pilot, and I had to take advantage of an opportunity to build hours.

Default For Don Q

Milk the ground manager connection. One of their recommendations is worth 10 pilot recommendations.

She is not blood kin to you, therefore the answer to the question "Do you have any relatives here" is no. By the way, the head of the airline's brother in law is a pilot here, so just keep it to yourself, and move on.

What about a husband or wife? That is not blood kin....could you get hired if your husband or wife work there?
