FDX passover rumor

Z*****,
Albie is very nice guy. He is politely telling you to talk to our contract dude at the union.
The rest of us are not quite as polite, and think you are being whining Biatch. I'm kind of surprised you got hired at Fdx with that attitude. Who was your sponsor?

Wow man, maybe you should quit, quit your whining, some guys did this, some guys did that, yada yada yada. Another set of brilliant comments from the almighty purple brotherhood. Oh well, what did I honestly expect, it's not like YOU lost any money. I'm surprised that you don't care, I mean, we're all brothers, right???
My gripe is as soon as the 0602 bid closed, all of us get whacked 6 months for training, so that they can fill the ANC slots with nuggets. Being a reasonable person, I'm pretty sure the powers that be knew this was going to happen and could have relayed the fact to the 22 of us that were waiting for training BEFORE the bid closed, so that we could have had the option to bid off. Jeez, we must have been stupid to think the company would have honored the 0503 bid and trained everyone according to the letter. Silly us.
When I bid the 11 in MEM, of course I analyzed what the training situation was like and how long it was going to take, but since you can only see a portion of the training letter from the previous bid, it didn't provide a good look as to the actual duration of the letter. Nobody knew how long it was going to take to train. Bid what you want to fly, right?
So yes, whine, whine, whine it's going to be from me. Nothing like having someone almost a year and half junior to you making twice the money. Money that, should I dare say it, I might have to make back by flying draft and/or VLT. I bet you'd care about that. Maybe I'll even block my calendar, that should send you into a real caring frenzy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, and about the different domicile, whatever. My question is, does domicile really matter when LAX guys are flying MEM trips and MEM guys are flying ANC trips? I didn't think so.

As far as I can tell, everyone who bid MEM in 0503 is training ahead of those who bid MEM on 0602. Training has always been set up by domicile and is addressed in the contract. I'm not saying I wouldn't be irritated if my training got pushed back by a couple of months, but it has happened before and will happen again. My date has moved from 0602. Just be glad they don't train strictly in seniority order, or you may be waiting a year or more to train. Remember, don't bid it until it is on the line and painted purple and don't spend it until it is printed on your check.
