Or it could be that companies are hiring for credentials and skill(i.e. the best candidate) and not because of certain groups whining themselves into jobs

Your full of it. I also ran into all the lastest new hires. All 727. And they were NOT all white males. There was a couple blacks and a female. You shouldn't lie, you'll get caught.

Like I said...not held against me in any way.

I explained that my goal in life was to be a pilot. The decision to leave UPS (though after only a few weeks) was pretty much a no brainer because had I not taken the flying job, I'd still be a 250 hour pilot with a college degree throwing boxes. Not quite that literally, but you get the picture.

PM more or less said, "makes sense to me."

Not true. Officers can not be dishonrably discharged. It's all or nothing; court-martial of honorable. She resigned in lieu of court-martial but was honorably discharged.

FreightPuppy--You are a perfect example of why quotas or affirmative action are bad. You have the credentials and the resume and earned your way up the latter just like most everyone else. But when some marginally qualified female or minority gets hired it puts into question the qualifications of the rest of that respective group. It is a fact that there are some females/minorities who have been hired at UPS that would not have been hired had they been a white male. That does not take away the fact that some females/minorities that have been hired have superior qualifications--yourself included. Unfortunatley as long as the Junes of the world are getting hired you'll have to put up with the idiotic and ignorant comments.
