the deal is mostly concessionary once you read it. Pay is increased by a pitiful amount (less than 2% for captains) when adjusted for inflation only. Scheduling is concessionary except there are 30 min less duty time, and domestic tickets to position/deposition for a trip. International DH is increased to 18 hours of duty. Line holder days off are the same at 11 days per month. Company flexibility is increased with line holders and reserves. Reserves take a huge hit regarding company flexibility. Reserve call out times are still 1:30. And remember, there are about 35% - 40% reserves at UPS.
Before you guys go casting stones about how everyone else is looking for a job and taking pay cuts and we should do the same, remember that UPS makes over 1 BILLION every three months in PROFIT. No mention was made of "profit sharing." UPS does obviously not want the pilots ot have any type of profit sharing...........the profits are too big.
This thing aint gonna fly for me. I would rather live under the current contract than endure the new one with a small pay raise.

Should the UPS pilots vote yes on these "pathetic payrates", or vote no and eventually maybe go on strike? You sound like you are trying to tell them not to go on strike, so that commuter pilots won't take their jobs. You also tell them to vote no to these low pay rates, so they can get a potentially better offer.
Which one is it?
