I am by no means a management fanboy, but these are the secondary line MAXIMUMS.

Some 727 S/O and 757 regular lines are being bought up. I'm not saying I disagree with you...the 777 regular line values are ridiculous! I'm just trying to paint the full picture.

We were overstaffed. But, I think they screwed up the excess bid because we are now putting these excessed people back into the seats they were in, thus negating the monetary benefit of the excess. Now, we are obviously overstaffed in some seats and understaffed in some...welcome to the FedEx madness. I'm sure we'll be hiring 500 people soon...then cutting off hiring after we over hired.

The full picture is folks without a functioning moral compass want to reward their buds on the 777 with 20-30 hrs more pay than other guys on the property. Because they are the baddest cats in town. These are the same guys that were totally unaffected by any of that piddly 4A2b stuff.

That is hillarious!! I hope this was meant to have a smiley face after it. Maybe?

The LAST thing we need, especially as we enter negotiations, is more bodies on the property. Leaner is better.

Yes it was I admit, a feeble attempt at irony. ;-)

I would add a little truth and reality to the full picture - like the accelerated 777 deliveries and the recently closed system bid which exasperated manning issues in that aircraft. As for being unaffected by 4.A.2.b, that was the 757, which was the new fleet taking deliveries at that time.

I'm normally not the spelling police but I think the word you want is exacerbated.

Concur. And after further reflection, I don't think any of us were truly unaffected by 4.A.2.b. Some certainly more than others.
