That's where some of our furloughed guys probably work

As far as peak goes... I will make sure to relay your thoughts and feelings to my peers and if you have not seen creative scheduling yet, better watch out! So... to the no favor, no waiver... dont ask me to help you get home for Christmas, you can eat a can of SPAM in the DSM hotel for all I care...
As far as the last statement, we know you don't have the power to give us tickets/favors from your end. That decision is above your pay grade.
Example: sitting number 12 on RSVA on your last day but still can't be released. Yeah, sure you can help

As far as Christmas, we call our ACP to get travel approved, but thanks anyway.

Yeah we are JAing and going through the motions because we have too, but why dont you ask how many flights we have cancelled because of the JA & open time bans... you are the ones losing out, not us and NOT our customers.. it has made us better and stronger schedulers... We are doing something obviously you dont want to do.. and that is to make sure our customers get their packages...

See you in peak guys!
I am not sure which scheduler you are and I am not sure if I want to know, after these comments. If I were you, I would keep my head buried in the computer screen that you operate everyday and try to make the schedule work with the lemons that our employer has handed you guys. I promise you one thing though, peak is going to be very fun for you and your buddies. I can't wait for the house of cards that UPS has created for themselves to come tumbling down!

I forgot one thing. Your schedule runs now cause you violate the contract day in and day out, and you have a fleet of super reserves we call managers sitting in hotel rooms all over the system. I can't wait for the FAA to get a idea of how UPS is making ends meet. Trust me when I say this, there are going to be some major changes coming in the way you guys do business. More guys are also learning your games by learning the contract and I am betting your creative scheduling days are numbered!

Why are you guys beating down poor 101? Your silly shenanigans has done nothing but extend your quality time off. Try to become an asset instead of a liability. A little professionalism will do wonders for you careers.

See you in peak guys!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us, all of us want to see UPS do well, but when we see a rant like this some of us may have second thoughts.
Can't we all just get along? I doubt you have generated these thoughts in your little head all on your lonesome, so the average reader may take them to be some tentacle of corporate philosophy, however loathsome that may be. I wish you all the best and hope you may one day understand that we are not keeping each other down. Only you can make your life and your relations to others better.

Scheduling101, I know you live in a world of NOT following contracts, but let me post the TOS for this forum. It's right up top when you found or were pointed here...

Welcome to the Airline Pilot Central Forums.

You are currently viewing our boards as a guest which gives you limited access to view most discussions and access our other features. If you're a working pilot, please join our free community and you will have access to post topics, communicate privately with other members (PM), and access many other special features. Registration is fast, simple and absolutely free so please, join our community today!

If you don't want to register (or not a working pilot), you can still use the Google search box in the upper left of this screen to search all forum posts!

End Quote.

SO- Are you a WORKING PILOT? Did you LIE to register to post? Just a little fib? Didn't your screen change colors to tell you that you intended to violate an agreement?

GUMBIE- POOR show of support. We expect better from our entertainers. Where did you come from to get here again?

By the way- Sure hope neither of you were the one that posted the playbook for all to see of late....

That was a BINGO!

1) How long have you been at UPS? Let me guess, you tossed packages here 5 years ago, now you are qualified for anything.
2) Have you been moved to ANC by UPS and subsequently furloughed and abandoned in AK with no job and no way to get your stuff home?
3) Unlike you, most of us left 6 figure jobs to come here for job security and a better life for a family only to have the rug continually pulled from underneath us.
4) Were you here for the late 1980's when this place was pure hell to work for?
5) Do you spend 180 nights a year on the road away from your wife and kids for a company that doesn't respect you?
6) Do you risk your life ever night on a cargo plane that doesn't have an ounce of protection in the event of a fire.
7) Do you sleep in crappy accommodations and eat unhealthy food night after night?
8) Did you spend 20 years to get to your position, often observing horrible pay and jobs to just "make it".
9) How many marriages has being a scheduler cost you?
10) How many Holidays have you missed? I mean really missed, not by a few hours but a few days?

Please tell us why you have the right to come on here and tell us to leave. Please tell me old wise one, how you plan on screwing us some more in scheduling. Please tell me what you could possibly do to us that we have not already endured.

For the record, we have some VERY good schedulers, (minus 2 of course).
You chose your profession. Not anybody else. It is your choice nobody else owes you a thing. You fly you get paid. You don't like the terms you move on, just like the six figure jobs you left before .
