UPS Flight 6 Memorial

As for the accident thread, I have found it to be very educational, and have learned a lot from many of the posters who have first-hand evidence of smoke, fires, the systems that are possible to counter them, and suggestions as to the limited time one has to respond. I have gained much from the postings of pilots much more knowledgeable and experienced in this area than I am.
To restrict this website from others will keep them uniformed and ignorant. The request regarding the accident from the IPA states "The Lampe and Bell families have asked that no accident pictures or any pictures of Doug or Matthew be posted to the Bar & Grill. Please respect their wishes until informed of any changes." I have no problem following that request.

But, this isn't about us. This is about respecting the families of Doug and Matt, and that particular thread, while informative for us on the outside, paint a very disturbing, difficult, and terrifying last minutes of their loved ones. They might not be ready for that kind of information.
I want to get to the bottom of this just like anyone else...

Missing post?
Dear moderators,
I found and posted some information on 9/4 about a 2008 FAA legal opinion regarding the definition of accessible emergency equipment: http://www.faa.gov/about/office_org/...2008/Davis.pdf. It means that a pilot must be able to reach the emergency equipment (i.e., a fire extinguisher) from his or her station with an oxygen mask on. I included a link to the FAA legal opinion and a comment that the emergency equipment is not currently accessible by pilots while wearing the oxygen masks provided at their flight stations on the B744.
I also posted a link to a WSJ article from June of this year about a UAL flight in May on which the 757 pilots could not reach a fire extinguisher while wearing an oxygen mask: Worries Emerge on Boeing Cockpit-Oxygen Systems - WSJ.com.
Cargo Man quoted my post.
I just looked for my post so that I could reread the FAA legal opinion, but I can find neither my post, nor Cargo Man's reply that quoted my post. Am I having a senior moment or was it deleted? If so, why?
Thanks!
