You might want to consider negotiating for a pay rate with no equipment differences pay. You get paid only by longevity and seat position.

Just sayin...

Now back to butting out.
Remember, we all have huge egos to secure. Especially us freight dawgs.

What? Real nice...perhaps you could move on to wine country a bit sooner? Thanks.

Let improve all intl override, regardless of fleet, and not reward those who decided to "roll the dice" to getting a better deal than we got. Had no one bid the 777 or bid HKG, no arbitration would have been necessary. Case closed
F an A on that one. For DW to bid the 777 after his email telling members to take into consideration that there is no pay rate is reprehensible, IMO of course.

As far as HKG goes, the first set of excess bids were designed to fill HKG.....because it was such a sucky deal for FOs. For those that thought it would not affect them, well it has affected everyone. Once again, IMO.

And that's the way it should've been handled... Not this "well, they'll fill it anyway, so I'm going to bid it..." mentality.

We have soooo much power and leverage, and we are to naive to use it.

Want better FDA perks? DON'T BID IT!!! Want better 777 payrates? DON'T BID IT!! Didn't like 4a2b and over-manning BS? DON'T FLY VOL/DRAFT!! DON'T SELL BACK VACATION!! How about the moron I heard pick up the phone in AOC, call CRS during peak, and ASK THEM, "I hear you guys need help, I was going to jump home, but can fly if you need me" YGTBSM!!!!!

Simple boys and girls. We have the muscle, but don't flex it.

Kudos to the CAs I flew with who, and I quote, said during 4a2b, "They're taking money out of my pocket, I'm sure as heck not going to put money in theirs, no single engine taxi."

And, we're asked, "Where's your ALPA lanyard? Gotta wear it to show unity!" Yea, that'll show 'em!!! What a joke! You think a lanyard scares management? I say DEEDS NOT LANYARDS!!
So simple, a caveman could understand!

That's EXACTLY the point your missing. If the MEC is trying to show some unity in a simple lanyard and can't get that. We are in serious trouble. Yes that display speaks volumes! Walk thru the AOC and what do you see hanging around peoples necks. 777 bright blue, Red MARINE, CIVILIAN (funny), No lanyard, University of when I was young, etc... This thing is very simple and yes it tells managment a lot more than you think. It is called singular purpose and unity of voice. Start with that simple tasks and maybe everything else we kill each other over will start to come in focus. If we wont wear it, what chance is there of getting us to hold a sign on a picket line?

Sorry for the interruption, back to your regularly scheduled post!

Most other ALPA pilots wear an ALPA pin to reflect their unity and membership in said union.

Do you mean the "other ALPA pilots" that make their managements go to court, to have a judge issue an injunction to keep them from acting like a union?

Baby steps, my friend.
