Airline miles FDX
#2
I have earned United miles on Continental, Asiana, Lufthansa, and United flights. (I have previously tried and failed to earn CAL miles on CAL flights). I have earned American miles on Cathay, Dragon Air, British Air, and JAL. I Have earned Delta miles on Air France, Korean, China Southern and Alaska.
Not a definitive answer, just first hand experience.

Walrus,
Yes, you can earn miles on United. Just open up a frequent flyer account and there you go..
I haven't flown Asiana, so I can't help you on that one. See who they code share with and use that number for miles. I use my American number for Cathay and it works every time...

...GolfandFly it works the same way with UA and OZ (just use your United Mileage Plus number) in the *Alliance.
Hope this helped.

I tried giving my UAL FF# at check in and she said "No miles for you". She also asked to see my FedEx ID--anyone else have this request?
How am I supposed to enjoy a 13 hour First Class flight if I know it's all for naught (no points)???
