So please give me e break, FuF making deals behind the unions back? Go and ask somebody.
Zoro,

Default read between the lines

Lab rat:

Bud, don't forget this is an open forum and it's read by several who are not IPA pilots who are not privy to all the details. I could read between the lines in your post what you were trying to say. Please, ask Cindy and Dean, both EB members of the IPA how this whole thing came about. Tom N was planning to attack Cindy and Dean to get them out of the EB when the NWA deal [in which our president crossed a union pick line after telling us not to do it] stopped him from getting Dean and Cindy in a smear campaing. Tke as much time as you spend here calling members of the EB and the grievance comm, you'll get more information than the one you get from guys who think they know the TA and don't even now our own contract which has been in force for over 8 years now.[as some said on the B&G]

Default great input on Bob's Miller blog

To all of you who are following this thread please read what Bob Miller posted in his blog http://robert-miller.blogspot.com/

You don't think our lawyer and the current EB is trying to sell and mislead this TA, right?

Zoro....it's kind of hard to care about what you have to say when you don't answer legitimate questions!

The same quotes and salesmanship that's comming from the EB is the same that came from Miller. I really don't get you Miller freaks. I'm far from a Tom fan, quite the contrary, but Miller is just a different color of snake.

Zoro,

I tell you in a very straight-forward and sincere manor that there are NO "between the lines" in my post. If you want to think otherwise you are certainly entitled to your own opinion, but you have misinterpreted what I wrote.

And years later what have we learned?

UPS furloughed like we were warned if there was any kind of hiccup and nothing in the contract really drove hiring. Hiring was to offset attrition in most cases. The EB and NC did not warn us, instead they "sold us"... I mean emphasized the goodies without any real warnings.

UPS pilots are working more for a little more money.

UPS has used their scheduling computer to squeeze out more productivity. We are working more for more money or in other words... we are carrying more pieces and/or weight per plane and/or pilot. If not, others must be carrying it.

UPS pilots have a Frankenstein jumpseat matrix that threatens to screw up FDX's system. It has reversed a previous FAA letter of interpretation that we were going to get until we decided to negotiate captain's authority. The IPA has single handed reduced captains authority. .....great

UPS pilots.... ya we got an industry leading contract... by default in some ways and by hard work in others.

UPS pilots were given a sample bid package to see how the 2006 rules worked, but later found out that the sample package did not represent what the company could really do. It was not binding for the Company. It was fluff and a sham.

Today.... hoping lessons have been learned, egos contained and things are better in the negotiations.... but we are pilots <g>

What is going on with your negotiations? Is it happening?

What does this mean. Why would it threaten to screw up our system?
