If you want more responses to this thread change the title to an unsubstantiated rumor.

"First Singapore 777 to FedEx leaves the desert!"

And as your source be sure to use the bus driver that dropped the Singapore crew at the airplane!

Why? It is be assumed everything on the Cargo section is about Fed Ex!

At least that's what the bus driver in (insert city) told me.

Heard from a few mechanics that they "hear" it will be the A330-200F.

From what they say, it is the cost issue of converting the floor that kills the P2F 777.

We got guys on here saying FDX already inked a contract with SQ and we got others telling us it's an Airbus order now?

Mechanics know it all now? That's as bad as getting information from a pilot. I get all my reliable information from the crew bus driver

Why can't we have both aircraft?

Yeah that's the ticket. It would create another bid and another slew of professional students going from airframe to airframe.

Would be a bit risky to ink a contract for an aircraft type that currently doesn't have a pax-to-freighter conversion programme available? Unless of course FedEx already know there is one available

Us mechanics don't know jack either, I got my information from a jumpseating horse groom
