If your 7 day vacation falls in the middle of your 12 day trip, the entire trip is dropped and you receive credit for the entire trip. However, there is a credit deficit that may be made up. If you elect to make it up yourself, you have to get within 5 hrs to satisfy the company. If you elect to do nothing, the company may or may not place a trip(s) on your line (only on the days you were supposed to be working anyway) to make up the credit. Many roll the dice with a big drop and hope the company can only backfill with a few turns. They cannot give you a trip on days you have off and it is up to them to make up the deficit if they can.

Situation #1, Both trips are dropped full pay, Vacation days October 10, 11, 12, 13 do not touch are paid at 3:00 per day. You are on the hook to the company for every day of the two trips not touched by the vacation. Looks like SUB to me. You can be put on a company jumpseat to Hong Kong to catch up with your trip.
Situation #2, Your vacation does not touch any trip days or RSV days. You are paid 3:00 per day, 21:00 extra but you fly all your scheduled trips or stand all your scheduled RSV days.
