ah nope!! just wondering why everyone is offended?? all i said was that flying for connie sucked (when I did it) and thought he was a scumbag we are talking mid 90's here folks. Just wondering if National was the same theme. Kind of like those scumbag 121 outfits and 135 outfits that are out there( and I too have had the misfortune of dealing with them). Everyone has had to deal with them and has been bent over. they might have a different name that's all. Not saying all freight outfits suck, just know that when I had my dealing with connie, he bent me over. so did some other outfits. and no the legacy is not the be all to end all. Funny how people get all defensive. Sheesh, Guys it don't matter if you fly boxes, people, big planes, little planes. It's all about PMD, pu>>y, Margueritas, and Daysoff. Anyhow wasted enuf time with this thread. Have fun at your job. Hope they are not scumbags, and if they are good luck getting on elsewhere.

K4 has come a long way since the 90's. Hopefully the new contract will be something worthwhile. If you think Connie is a scumbag operator then National definitely is. I just flew with one of their ex FE's. At National, you are on a 1hr notice 20 days a month, salaried, no CBA. Anybody whose been around the block knows what that means.

No hiring, some furloughing happened about two weeks ago......
It has been over 18 months and the 757 is still not on their operating certificate. There is a pretty strong rumor that they are already dumping the 757 program and may have cancelled the other 4 on order. Some how they are also getting sued by BAX Global? Don't know all the ends and out on that one, especially since National was only used as a hot-spare in TOL.
Seemed to have good people working there when I interviewed. Really had a nice business plan but I guess they tried to undercut a lot of other companies on contract flying and are now considered "that guy" in addition to their other issues.
Their DC-8-60 (the white one) was put into temporary storage at YIP for a few weeks but was pulled out to do some flying. Since then, however, its just been sitting around. Don't know where the two DC-8-70s are at.

ive seen their 8's in Liege, tough to make it with a narrow body international in this day and age, though Astar is still hanging in there with their stretch 8s, and ive seen a few vagabond 8s in and out of Bahrain.
