UPS interviewees still waiting to hear...
Hello all,
Long time reader, first time poster!
I interviewed with UPS back on Sep 26th (on Tues it will be 5 weeks) and STILL haven't gotten any word from Big Brown. They had told me it to expect 4 weeks to hear anything, but wow...Most UPS folks say that no news is good news at this point, and that BAD news travels pretty fast.
So I'd love to know about other recent UPS interviewees out there that are from my timeframe...have any of you heard anything either? Any pool letters or "direct to drug test, get ready for class" calls? I think that they just have the two classes in Nov (which should be filled), and the single class of 5 or 6 o/a Dec 14th. After that, I guess it's next year. Look foward to hearing from you and thanks...

Same thing happen to me over a year ago... I called them at the 5 week mark. There was some mix up with letters sent out and they then notified me I was in the pool at that time and sent another leter... Just call them or have the person that recomended you walk in and ask them... The H.R people are really nice and will be glad to help.

I sent a letter to H.R. after a month or so. I thanked them again for the opportunity to interview and stated that I was anxiously awaiting the word from them. Can't say that it made a difference but it sure makes you feel a little bit better. Sometime you just have to do something before it drives you crazy. That was 10 years ago, I guess nothing has changed.

UPS calls...
I interviewed in early September. It took just over a week to get a call. Apparently, they've recently begun calling versus the traditional "letter in the mail." At least as far as relaying the 'good news' is concerned...
From what I understand, they've also recently done away w/ the return trip to SDF for the medical. The recent new hires have reported being called and asked to schedule a urinalysis at their home doc.

And dfwdavi8r, if you wish to answer this, how long did it take for you to get news? Was it a letter or a call?
I am considering a call or letter to HR to check my status, although I read here about a guy who got recently called (for the Nov 16th class, can't remember his handle right off hand) that waited 5 weeks for his pool letter, then 2 more months for his class. I don't want to bother HR, but I do want to know...
