Such blasphemy...tsk, tsk.
As always standing in your esteemed shadow, we're going to let you guys set the agenda and raise the bar, so like in every other aspect of all things we can benefit from the high and mighty. Forge the path, show everybody what ALPA can do!
We grovel in your presence.
Just watch you don't screw the pooch...you've got lead this time skippy. Do the industry proud.

Not sure the hostility, the only FDX guys who b!tch about brown are the guys who have swapped ties, pants, and crossed the KY/TN border. Wish I could say the same about you guys.

No doubt we will raise the bar by 3% per year. Cant speak for the industry, but I'll bet most of them would love to have our contract. No need to grovel, as I have said many times our contract and yours are purty darn close. The only place where ours sucks are foreign domiciles (those are completely voluntary) and 4A2b which indeed sucks but so does keeping 60 guys on the street for 3 years.

Wait a minute, you guys folded just because we folded and that is out fault.
But be a little more specific, does the last contract rounds mean 2006 when you guys signed before we did? Or our 2011 contract extension?

PreContract, Please explain how UPS can do the Contract? UPS will not take an Airplane out of a Gateway during the day. Because it has to be there that evening to go to the Sort with Next day Volume.
FDX had the extra lift back in the day, and then bought more lift into the system. UPS has been shrinking the Air Side for years. UPS has 300 less pilots than during the Peak of size. And way less Aircraft. Wasn't the MD-11 a stop gap airplane? Where is the LRF they talked about 10 years ago? Still on the Horizon? Is Chris Williams going to dream up a time machine?
UPS does not have the capability for the Contract. Ground Side won't cut it. Unless UPS starts ordering Airplanes, which are all spoken for, good luck.

Whatever the outcome, best of luck to everyone. Hopefully it's more pilot jobs for somebody!

Well, IMHO we have plenty of lift available for USPS business, but we certainly don't have the pilots to fly it. The entire 757 fleet is underutilized (remember we were going to park this fleet 3 years ago), and most of the NDA fleet sits idle during the day. We could fly those jets on the afternoon sort, just like we used to pre 1997 teamster contract. Of course, we DO NOT have the pilots to do an extensive ramp up of the 2DA sort.

Bet that won't be in the next contract. So, advantage FedEx. We have the manning to do the contract (minus the retirements coming). Anyone else would have to ramp up hiring and training at their own expense.
