I was lucky to have spent a year and a half at Evergreen on the classic as an FO before the big furlough effect sent me back to the regionals. As Green Giant said, the pilots there are a great group and we all had the "get it done" mentality. It was the most exciting and fun place I've ever worked. I'm on my fourth 121 ticket now and I've been on five 135 certificates. I miss that place. I hope they pull out of the dive.

I've met several evergreen guys back down at the regionals. These are guys who went from the 747 to an rj on the east coast and yet still they're all really really cool guys. End of story.

EIA was my first airline out of the military, and I enjoyed the crews, the Whale classic, and the trips. Frankly, my schedule (on reserve) at EIA was better than being a line-holder at United. Paid hotel on reserve? Never saw that at any major, but that was how it worked at EIA.
Del is eccentric, but that's part of the mystique.
I learned a ton there, truly enjoyed the experience, and might not have been hired at United without what I gained from them. Best wishes for you and the company.

LOL. Here's a gem from MEMbrain......
"Fly an approach in hard IFR to Almaty in the middle of the night in horrible weather and turbulence in a heavy jet that has an approach speed north of 170kts and get back to me."
I went to Almaty 15-20 times, before we stopped, but never "in the middle of the night", in fact never in the dark. Arrivals and departures were always in the 1100-1400 range. Also, who uses the term "hard IFR"? Nobody I know. He has knowledge around the margins but always fails when he gets into specifics.

Anyway the 10%ers give us all some breathing room on stupidly.

What ever airline I have been at or am at it is always the 10%, Oh yea by the way there have been these dominate airlines called, Pan Am, and Eastern the times changed. Don't throw rocks if you live in a glass house. Good luck to all, because we are EMPLOYEES! and are along for the ride.
