Note to FDX 777 pilots

Why is a kid young enough to even have said "grimace" be a possible issue (doubt it) in his life off by himself talking to strange men.

Anyone but me curious as to the "kid's" age? If he's young, you're right----he shouldn't be talking to strangers and I doubt he knows what a grimace is. If he's a young adult/adult---what's the big deal? He should know by now that not everybody likes everybody else and there will be meanies in this world who don't worship his daddy like he does.
This really may be the dopiest thread in a while.....

Prop,
Sorry your son felt as if the pilots he spoke to were showing you or your job lacking. If you truly believe the above statement, why would you expect anything different? I guess my exposure to the aviation community is completely different. Yes, most have no self confidence problems but always seem willing to chat and down to earth individuals, or at least colorful enough to interact with just about anyone. Basing a bias on one Continental Captain seems a bit extreme.... As does this post condemning the masses for the perceived actions of the very few.

My son recently found himself in conversation with a couple FDX 777 pilots. When he mentions that his dad flies 777s for Korean Air, all he got in response were disparaging grimaces.
Obviously you've got no clue about my job, but that's not my point. You're talking to a kid about his Dad, for crissakes. Have a little class.

Really? You've got a serious inferiority complex.

11 pilots have the biggest sac's in the aviation world, we put it on the line every flight...
777 for weak sisters
So unless it was 2 11 pilots saying this, I wouldn't worry too much...
